Sketches from the illustrations for You Might Be a Zombie & Other Bad News. This one was pretty much as-is. I did a near-match for the pencils in my sketchbook, inked it on the page rather than digital to keep the lines and textures lively, and bam! Done. Crisp, clean. Pretty happy.
You'll notice that in the final version, only one girl is injured while the other is simply losing her top. That was for balance -- giving the viewer what they watch GGW to see, but making it impossible to enjoy or pay any attention to, because someone is getting maimed right by. There's more going on in that version than this sketch, which is just gore, gore, everywhere.
