I'm posting this because it has to do with my thoughts for Invisible, Inc.'s current storyline, only expressed more articulately than I can write these days.

I didn't write this. This is the actual introduction from my freshman year welcome pack's "NYC passport," sort of a Fordham-centric Zagat's guide to cool things going on around the city. It was a neat idea that took me to some cool restaurants and activities, but for some reason, somebody thought the hep kids would respond well to a letter from a producer of the then-thrashing show Party of Five. Remember that show? Fox begged you to watch their attempt at uplifting family programming for weeks, but you didn't heed their pleas! Finally they caved and revamped it into a more customary Fox soap opera.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure this woman didn't actually go to Fordham, nor are any of the characters Fordham grads or anything. It's just a letter from a producer to you speculating on why fictional characters wouldn't be drunks if they'd had the awesome passport to fun.
Now explain original sin.
Back in the days of the college newspaper, I was at my most useful the week of April 1st. One year we did a tabloid theme, the next, a wholesale Onion knock-off centered around the campus.
"Follow me for fun!" still makes me laugh.

So this is that, when I had to fill a quarter-page at 3 a.m. Sort of like right now.
Forgive me.
