Prior to, we checked in with Bombay about bars that are doing their best to protect the planet as we get responsibly blotto, possibly to tune out all that we’re doing to the planet in the first place. You can escape the most concentrated heat, take in a balmy breeze by the bay (or more accurately the Hudson River just as it approaches the Upper Bay) and get the best views of the city’s majesty in the bargain. And all at mildly reduced New Jersey prices! Your mileage may vary, but Jersey City bars do tend to come with more elbow room–see South House, above.
