Oh Hi, I Write for NYC Tourism Now

Oh, this was a fun one. After doing some offline writing for New York’s own tourism board to present in slide presentations (plus the voiceover!), I’ve taken my shtick to their website in a very, very on-brand assignment. Thoes fine folks tapped me to visit Marvel’s offices and sign a binding number and anchoring amount of NDAs, so I could sit down with EIC C.B. Cebulski to talk about how Marvel is inextricably bound to New York City.

It’s a relief to know I’m not the only nerd out there walking around town imagining a fictional history (“Say! This is the bar where Ultimate Captain America picked a fight with Giant Man!”) although I suppose it’s a lot more part and parcel of his job.

A couple days before this went live I finally started watching Daredevil: Born Again, which—boy, is it ever great—references the changing face of Hell’s Kitchen and NYC in general, just as we discuss in the link above. Gotta say, this was one of those assignments that reminds you how cool freelance can really be. Oh, the places you’ll go, through the worlds of What If…?!
